I just got back from the Melkweg in Amsterdam and the party was AMAZING! After walking 20 minutes in the rain we finally arrived at the venue and we entered the club for the party. Me and my mate were pretty excited because First State was the first of the night on the wheels of steel!
Their set was a pretty good warmin-up for Markus & Menno de Jong but it was too bad that the room wasn’t full at all! After First State it was time for Eelke Kleijn to perform a set to the crowd. In the meantime more and more people found their way inside and the atmoshpere was absolutely fantastic! Unfortunately Eelke’s liveset bored me a little bit and too bad for him he had problems with a cd-player or something like that.
Finally, after First State and Eelke, it was time for the heroe of tonight: MARKUS SCHULZ from the STATES! He is a huge fan of Amsterdam and it wasn’t a big surprise that he called his new album Amsterdam. For me, it was GREAT to see him live again his set was WICKED! I had the time of my life and I’m glad we didn’t leave with Menno de Jong his set. Menno played great tunes and went crazy behind the decks as always.
If you ask me, I rate this party at 9 out of 10. Absolutely one of the best parties I’ve been to ever!
