A good thesis on Don Giovanni (an opera by Mozart)?
We read Don Giovanni in my literature class, and watched most of a movie version of the opera, too. If anyone can help me come up with a thesis that stands out, that would be excellent. There is probably plenty on the musical aspect, but please steer away from that unless you have a good source i can use for my paper, because I know next to nothing about music.
Wrongdoers in fiction either get punished or rehabilitated.
Flannery O'Connor calls this "graces," Ibsen calls it "Epiphany."
That's what happens to Don Giovanni.
And nobody even mourns for his death!
I wonder if that is where the producers of The Wizard of Oz got the idea for "Ding-dong, the Witch is Dead."
