What to do when someone asks you what's wrong and it's because they never remember anything you say?
I'm pissed at two people right now, it's because they never remember anything I say to them. When I tell them that I've told them something before, they get mad and say I never did. I'm in a weird situation here because if I tell them what's wrong, they'll just forget. I'll end up getting more mad because there is nothing that will change. Any ideas? Maybe I'm missing something.
This is something that is going to keep happening because I have to live with them. I try to get the point across about the things that are important to me, but they just don't remember. I try not to get angry but it keeps happening. I seriously doubt that I think I'm telling them things that I actually haven't. Sorry, but there's no way that's answer.
Just let it go so you won't have to answer their "what's wrong" questions. Over the years I've noticed that some people don't miss a thing and others don't have a clue as to what's going on outside their own little world. Neither is good or bad, it's just the way it is, so getting angry about someone not remembering what you say to them is useless. If you have something really important to tell them, make sure they know how important it is and even remind them about it again if necessary, but don't let it make you angry when they don't remember things. We're not all wired that way, unfortunately.....
